What is ASJA?

The American Society of Journalists and Authors is a professional association of experienced freelance writers who have met the organization's exacting standards of professional achievement. ASJA helps professional writers advance their writing careers by sharing candid data on rates, markets, editors, agents and more. Through ASJA, publishers and other organizations can readily access a pool of experienced writers who have met and can produce articles, books, brochures and scripts on any imaginable subject. The organization's 1,200 members live throughout the United States and in many other countries.
